Dr. Ben Smith is a board-certified orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is thrilled to be treating and taking care of patients in Norwood, West Roxbury and the surrounding communities, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care with a high attention to detail.
Dr. Ben Smith completed his orthodontic residency at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he earned both his Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Medical Sciences (MMSc). He then went on to earn board certification from the American Board of Orthodontics, becoming a Diplomate of the ABO. Board certification is a voluntary distinction that requires orthodontists to complete additional evaluation beyond their specialty training, demonstrating a commitment to clinical excellence, continued learning and high standards of care. Fewer than half of orthodontists achieve board certification, making it an important credential for patients and families to consider when choosing a provider. For Dr. Smith, that distinction reflects the precision, thoughtful treatment planning and personalized care he brings to every patient.
